Actually we just got outsourced. I was a government worker and now I am an ISM Canada (IBM). All of our jobs were imediately twisted and turned and .... Hope you are not alone. With 8000 users, that should be one hell of a farm and there should be a herd of Citrix admins there already. They might be looking to out-source you. I don't have one. I know it will be a fair amount of time to put something nice together and was hoping to get a jump start on it by asking around for one. I guess I will have to start with your second paragraph and go from there. bye _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Eilers, Lee Sent: Thu, June 2, 2005 9:50 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Job Description for Citrix Admin Cut to the chase, were is the job at? Most full time Citrix admins on this list knows what is involved in supporting that magnitude of users. They could start applying now! One can safely assume that you are running XP or MPS 3.0. Looking forward you will want Secure Access Manager, Secure gateway or even Citrix Access Gateway experience in addition to a deep understanding of AD and group policies. Most likely not looking for a CCA fresh out of class, 3, 5 or maybe even 7 years experience in medium to large environments. Demonstrated understanding of Citrix disaster recovery concepts and high-availability solutions. That large of a Citrix environment calls for tight change control discipline, technical writing skills, strong communication and team working abilities _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Landin, Mark Sent: Thursday, June 02, 2005 12:34 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Job Description for Citrix Admin "Masochist" should appear in your description at some point. _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Stratton, Doug MSER:EX Sent: Thursday, June 02, 2005 11:20 AM To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Job Description for Citrix Admin Hey anyone out there got a Job description for a person who would manage a farm with 8000 users mixed citrix/microsoft version and apps.
