How can you tell exactly what java client version you are using?

Subject: [THIN] Java Client w/published desktop

I am using the latest (9.3.1858) Java client with Firefox on FreeBSD and
Java JDK 1.4.2 Embedded applications in the browser launch fine,
seamless apps launch fine, launching a desktop session to a specific
server also works.

Published desktops launch using the seamless sample code, but give the
error "explorer launched in seamless connection". Is there a way to
launch a published desktop but not be embedded or seamless with the Java
client?
