You can put Proxytype=Auto in your Template.ICA for the regular Win32 clients
and that will tell the windows clients to use the browser proxy settings.

As for resolving the FQDN of the CSG. Well that really is a DNS issue not a
client or Citrix. I would figure out why it is not resolving.

Subject: [THIN] Is JavaClient, the only client for difficult WebAcess scenarios
???

Hi list

I have a very interesting and for us, very important, problem here.
I hope some of you already had had and solved the same problem.

Serveral of our users want to access our MFXPe FR3 Farm via WI/CSG 2.0 from
the internet.
There are absolut no Problems via normal internet access (home flate rate,
no proxy).
The problems are coming with users, sitting in different companies and first
of all have to pass a proxy to get internet access.
The firewall is no problem, but often the Citrix Client cannot resolve the
FQDN of our CSG via this proxy.
By using the java-client and set him to "use web browsers proxy settings"
and to use the CSG and giving him the FQDN of our CSG on Port 443 I have
avsolute no problems with this users, although is take the user somtime to
make all this configuration.

Then I tried to solve the problem with configuring the WEBClient, by adding
some lines in the C:\Programme\Citrix\ICAWeb32\appsrv.ini

ProxyType=Auto
SSLEnable=On
SSLProxyHost=csg.bebit.de:443

I thought, that this must work ? But it didn't. I also told the user (in the
foreign companies network) to ad the CSG IP-Adress in the "hosts" but still
he got the error "... that the he cannot find the SSL server ..." or
something like that. I can send the exact message later, but fore sure it
means "cannot find CSG because nobody is telling me where it is, and if,
e.g. via "hosts" I cannot reach it directly (of course)"

I hope somebody out there understands my problem, because every day it is
getting more and more important for us to solve this problem !

The best way would be, to make the right settings for the ICA Webclient and
than publish it via the WebInterface.
This would be nice.

Hoping for some ray of hope !

P.S. I excluded the possibility of using the Full PN-Client, because I can
only make setting per Application Group.
P.P.S. What I found out is, that Java-Client doesn't work with Proxy
Authentication Security higher than "BASIC". That also a pity.
P.P.P.S Sorry for my bad english.

Ciao, Daniel
