Ed,
I've only seen this when an installation of IE did not complete. And nine
times out of ten it will only complete after a reboot and you MUST log back
on as administrator. Are you certain that you did not do any MS patches and
forget to log back on as admin?

Folks,

I am having a problem with IE 5.5SP2 on my Windows 2000 Server. It doesn't
matter which profile I login as or if I delete the profile, I cannot get IE
to start. You basically double click on the IE ICON and it flashes and goes
away. Although when I look in task manager Iexplore.exe is running, but the
browser never shows on the desktop?

Anyone have any ideas about this, been working for a few hours on it, and
aint found nothing in MS Kbase, etc etc.

Ed
