Ok, your MFCOM service has probably a registration problem.
Make sure service is disabled. Reboot the box.
With MFCOMCHK make sure MFCOM service is on the same SP as IMA.
Try starting MFCOM.EXE manualy through services applet.

If it does not work, run "MFCOM /UnRegServer".
Follow by "MFCOM /RegServer".
Start the service.

Run MFCOMCHK and see if everithing is OK.
I hope your developer did not run MFREG.EXE on your MetaFrame box.
