Chris,
Use MFCOMCHK.EXE from www.tekworkshop.com
TekTools dowload. Provides status of IMA,
MFCOM as well as versions. Can be run from
fat client. No MFREG registration required.
Make sure you are admin on the target machine.
Supports multiple farms with no install
and is free.
