I am not sure if this one goes under the "Duh" category. On all three servers in this particular farm, I use the same name/password for my local accounts. When I setup the accounts for IM, I just specified my user name and password. I guess IM does not work with pass-through authentication and synchronized passwords. By prefacing my account with the domain name (ie..domain\username), it works. adam "Joe Shonk" <JShonk@gtcsyst To: <thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> ems.com> cc: Sent by: Subject: [THIN] Re: Installtion services thin-bounce@fre elists.org 01/02/2003 02:28 PM Please respond to thin Does the IM Service account have adminstrative privledges on the = Metaframe server? -----Original Message----- From: Adam.Baum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:Adam.Baum@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, January 02, 2003 8:32 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Installtion services Hi All, I am attempting to install the SNA client to three servers using Citrix Installation Packager (or whatever it's called). I've set the share and NTFS permissions on the source and target directories on all the servers to Everyone, Full Control. It still = fails with an Access Denied msg. One item I see in the event log is a line stating: "Failed to verify application permissions for 'ims20://localhost/1453/snabase.wfs'. System error: Access is denied. All the services have been installed. I don't know why it can find the message DLL. What is 'ims20'? Is it Installation Mange.. Services 2.0? Any ideas?
