Hi Mark, The %appname%.wfs files, a.k.a. ADF script file, is an INI file format construct that has a fairly straightforward syntax. If you want to make additional registry changes, then its fairly easy to copy registry change instrauction in the file and modify them accordingly. The documentation on the syntax (albeit for IMS 1.0) is found in the Installation Script Reference, www.citrix.com/support <http://www.citrix.com/support> > product documentation > IMS 1.0b. regards, Rick Ulrich Mack rmack@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx Volante Solutions 18 Heussler Terrace, Milton 4064 Queensland Australia. tel +61 7 3246 7777 -----Original Message----- From: Mark Verhagen [mailto:thin@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, 18 July 2002 11:22 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Installation Manager Package editing Thanks Rick. I'm aware of adding changes via second package or by appending a batch/kix to the existing package. I would perfer to make adjustments on existing packages to keep the package list clean. You say 'simply' patch the ADF, how would you do that? ***Citrix, new feature request - please allow flexible package editing enhancements to the next version of IM Packager*** MV ----- Original Message ----- From: Mack, <mailto:RMack@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Rick To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' <mailto:'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx'> Sent: Wednesday, July 17, 2002 8:30 PM Subject: [THIN] Re: Installation Manager Package editing Hi, You can add scripts to the project, or make a separate project where you record a script, either calling a regfile or something like kix/vbs etc to patch the registry entries. The other alternative is to simply patch the ADF file. regards, Rick Ulrich Mack rmack@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:rmack@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx> Volante Solutions 18 Heussler Terrace, Milton 4064 Queensland Australia. tel +61 7 3246 7777 -----Original Message----- From: Mark Verhagen [mailto:thin@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, 18 July 2002 1:47 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Installation Manager Package editing Does anyone know if there is a way to edit things like registry keys in IM packages. I know I can run another file and import that into the package but accessing settings already inside the package would be the best method for quick changes/additions.
