We have 40 servers with 35 applications; IM is a god send, much better than the MF1.8 version. The ability to use the MS native MSI installer as opposed to "recording" each application is excellent. Depending on the number of servers, I recommend definitely testing it in your sandbox. However, having worked on some much larger farms in the past, I found Marimba (http://www.marimba.com) a much more viable solution for large updates. The only problem with it is the cost. - John John Blackman CCEA, CCA IT Inc ltd -----Original Message----- From: Michael Day [mailto:mday@xxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 10 September 2002 17:11 To: 'thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [THIN] Installation Manager Does anyone on this list use the Installation Manger that is with XPe? If so can you let me know what your thoughts are on it. I am trying to decide if it is worth my time to look into using it to deploy updates to our farm.
