I generally go with 90 minutes, to allow for a long lunch, with a 10 minute disconnect timeout after that. I had a help desk call escalated to me a few weeks ago, where the user was complaining of being disconnected over her lunch hour. She probably wasn't too happy that I sent word back down the chain that her lunch 'hour' was actually closer to 2. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Steve Ens Sent: Thursday, April 07, 2005 9:02 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Idle Timeout I've noticed that MS suggests using 30 minutes as the timeout for terminal sessions. I have upped mine to 45 due to user requests...what does everyone have theirs set at?
