The IMA Service fails to stop when running on a server with this utility installed. Uninstall the Netmon2 client when installing MetaFrame on servers that have this utility already installed. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Jim Kenzig http://thethin.net Sent: Tuesday, December 02, 2003 8:40 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: IMA Service stuck "stopping" Greg See page 201 of the advanced concepts guide. Have you tried recreating the local host cache? http://thethin.net/citrixse/white/MetaFrame_XP/Docs/Advanced_Concepts_Guide_ FR2.pdf JK -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On Behalf Of Greg Reese Sent: Tuesday, December 02, 2003 8:31 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: IMA Service stuck "stopping" I found an article at Citrix about it getting hung when the perf monitors get out of whack. I have a bunch of perfmon errors in the event logs. Although the gist of the article is that it happens and not much else. I'm already running SQL 7 on a Win2k server and everything is patched and up to date (including MDAC) KILL command? I don't have that one. The odd thing is that eventually, the IMA service stops. eventually as in four hours or so. Doesn't appear to have any rhyme or reason to it. Best guess so far is that there are MDAC issues between our Citrix servers and the old NT4, SQL 7 box that holds the DataStore. We're moving the DS to a Win2k / SQL2000 server this weekend to see if that will clear up the issue. As far as restarting the IMA service, the only way we've been able to do it is to bounce the box, or kill the PID with the KILL command. -Christian Dady, MCSE, CCA ING Americas > -----Original Message----- > From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx]On > Behalf Of Greg Reese > Sent: Tuesday, December 02, 2003 2:16 PM > To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx > Subject: [THIN] IMA Service stuck "stopping" > > > the past few days one of my servers has been hanging up.
