Yes, I am the admin. And BTW this is a Windows 2008 SP2 server.
I've seen posts on the web about Vista, but I have not experienced this
problem on my Vista machine at home.

And I am assuming you are admin of the machine... I've started
seeing some strangeness with UAC again in Vista since some updates. Is
that still turned on or have you disabled it?

                That's exactly what I'm doing.
This system is not connected to the Internet. Maybe
there is an update that I'm missing. I'll move all the updates to the
isolated network and try to update it.
However, I've seen this reported on the web, so I'm not
the only one.

Where are you setting it? Choose My Computer
click on the C drive to bring up explorer. Hit the Alt key to show the
file menu, choose tools, click on Folder Options Check the open each
folder in same window and go to the View Tab and click the apply to all
folders button. Should work. I havent seen this.

I just installed IE on Windows 2008 SP2
and now when I double-click on folders in Explorer, they all show in a
separate windows.

It does not matter that I set the "Open
each folder in the same window". I did a quick search on the web and
apparently it happens to Vista as well, but could not find anything that
solves the problem.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
Uninstalling IE 8 not an option.

                                Thanks,
