I'm most concerned with the Java portion of IE. I believe that IE first incorporated Java with IE 5.0 or IE 5.0 SP2...not quite sure. I know at least with IE 6 and IE 6 SP1, the Java download is not necessary with nFuse. I have a lot of NT 4 workstations with <grimace> IE 4 out in the field. They are locked down with a local security policy. All they currently do is log into Citrix Prog. Neighborhood on our 1.8 farm. I'd like for them to be able to log into my nFuse page. _____ Brian Claus, A+, Network+, MCP Network Administrator WESCO Distribution, Inc. 225 West Station Square Drive, Suite 700 Pittsburgh, PA 15219-1122 Phone: 412-454-2412 Fax: 412-454-2540 bclaus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx <mailto:bclaus@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> _____ -----Original Message----- From: Parker, Dennis [mailto:Dennis.Parker@xxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Monday, December 16, 2002 12:08 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: IE and nFuse? I have to disagree a bit on this one. IE 5.5 SP2 'had' issues with NFuse, this is true, but IE 6 had the exact same issues because of the NPICAN.DLL issue. With the newer client versions, this has been resolved and IE 5.5 SP2 is all we run for accessing NFUSE and it works perfectly. (with the exception of Temporary Internet Files filling up, but that's just a clean up issue really). If you have a reason to stay with IE 5.5, SP 2 should work for NFuse. IE 6, if it works in your environment, however might be a better choice if you can go with it. Oh, I am also working in an Nfuse 1.6 environment, so I can't speak to other versions of NFuse and how they work with IE 5.5 SP2. Dennis -----Original Message----- From: Schneider, Chad M. Does anyone know what versions of IE are compatible with nFuse? Any details as to what will and won't work and what versions will work but require the plug-in download would be GREATLY appreciated.
