Hi Hector,

You really don't need compression if you've got reasonable (LAN) bandwidth
available. I guess the other thing to think about is that 16-bit colour (or
32-bit!) is a lot less cpu intensive than 24-bit.

Rick

Subject: [THIN] ICA Compression

Hello,
We're using Neoware Eon Thin clients in a LAN and we're experiencing slow
Screen updates (redraws) when using ICA (24-bit color). I understand that
ICA was designed for slow network connections, but there has to be something
we can configure in order for ICA
to work better. It seems like ICA is compressing data too much. We have 10
Mb to the Desktop.
Questions:

1) Can ICA be configured to use more network bandwith? less compression?
2) Is MetaFrame XP any better at this?

Servers: Windows 2000 SP3 + MetaFrame 1.8 FR-1.
Clients: Neoware EON software verison 2.2- 121901

Any help is appreciated.
