Yep we have this product. I believe we had this problem a long time ago. We run it with the databases on windows 2000 and citrix servers are on windows 2000 all SP3. One of the things that I believed fixed it was making sure Citrix servers and backend servers were on same VLAN. This was fixed prior to me coming here but I can ask a few questions. Not sure this hekps with your 2003 issue Malcolm -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Chris Lynch Sent: 18 January 2005 15:41 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Hyperion and Windows Server 2003 TS... *********************************************************************************** The Royal Bank of Scotland plc. We have been fighting some issues where the application will hang then crash, and somehow a file lock will remain on the file server, thus causing new clients to not be able to access certain data files. The only way to allow the client to access the file is to terminate the File Lock within the Computer Management MMC Console. And believe me, the file lock would be there 5, sometimes even 10 days from the original access date. Now, we have completely disabled oplocks on both the TS and file servers, and we still have the same problem. We have also contacted Microsoft, and they have given us a few hotfixes to address some MS Redirector issues. We are about to install the latest hotfix from MS, but I wanted to see if anyone out there is running this particular scenario. Now, I know of a few companies out there that are running Windows 2000 on both servers, with Hyperion v5.x and 6.x successfully. Can anyone offer any insight to this?
