Thanks for all of the input. You have made me question my original
plan, which is good. This helps make sure I implement this right the
first time out.

We have seen many different lifespans with our clients, but these
examples
give you the whole spectrum:
1) 10+ years for very static envirnoments such as shop floor using a
green
screen type of interface or very basic Windows applications not
requiring
high graphics performance
2) 2-3 years where the customer is pushing the envelope of required
ICA
features and graphics performance. Sometimes we just find that you
need
newer thin clients to keep up with latest ICA features (Pnagent, Web
Interface, local devices, etc) and pure performance (usually graphics)

Sorry to be slightly serious, but quick poll; how long do those using
thin
clients expect their hardware to last? Our planning currently assumes
7
years, and I know that this is all terribly dependent on what you're
doing
now and in the future, but it would be interesting to know.
