Yeah. I have found that if everything is centralized AND you manage your
profiles you can get away without this.
BUT if you have users that hit servers across different locations even a
1mb profile can slow things down when it goes across the wan.
That is when this gets fun.
Of course with 2003 server you can over ride a user profile attribute at
the server level so it wont be that much of a problem.

problem (at the minute) with Roaming Profiles, but it does sound like a

Hell john you still can.
I did it for a client. I enabled this while they still had roaming
profiles (this started pulling their settings while they were still
using the roamings) I then, after a few days, reset everyone's
attributes to mandatory profiles. And bam a few changes to their env but
all their mail, office and printer settings were retained.=3D3D20
Worked like a champ. As a matter of fact I have worked with the Citrix
solution and this one. The citrix one is a tad faster and has a couple
of options I like but in a pure "Bang for your Buck" type analysis the
flex profile kit will do everything you need for no cost.
