I tried all the possible combinations with the policies but mostly any combo
that had auto-creation of native drivers disabled and UPD allowed. Yes I have
the new UPD Universal Print driver as well.

One thing of note now that I think of it on this setup in test lab which is
running on VMWare when I uninstalled Citrix XP to install Pres. 4 I had to
uninstall all my previously installed native print drivers or they would not
map for Citrix client sessions tho all the old UPD's that come with PS4 did
work right from the start. OS was Win2k SP4. In this scenario tho would think
if the other UPD's were ok the new one should be as well??

Which printer policies do you have setup?  So your saying when you look at the
client printers that are mapped they are showing the 4500 as the driver?  If
you look at the drivers on the server, do you see one simply call Universal
Print Driver?

mapping when auto-creation of native drivers is disabled the new UPD which
represents in PS4 EMF type printing is not working 'for me' yet.  I am sure
with the right steps it will work.

So how do you know it's not working?

What kind of Citrix client? What client OS? What version of the Citrix client?

When you look at the driver for an auto-created printer, is it the Citrix
Universal Printer or is it HP Color LaserJet 4500? Your clients must be Win32
version 9.0 or above to use the new UPD. Also, modify the Citrix policy so that
the UPD is always used even if an installed driver with the same name is
available.

Yes there is a registry entry (from The Avd Concepts Metaframe Adm Guide) and
tried to set the policy suggested as well but no go. By default things seem to
work very much like previously where you can map to the old UPD's which are all
still there or to native print drivers that are on both client wkstn and
server(or you create mapping to another driver on server). Seems same as before
except there are a lot more additional print policies that have moved to
policies and used to be accessed via printers in CMC. Still just not able to
get the EMF printing working..

You have to setup a Citrix Policy if you wish to use EMF printing...So by
default, it's not enabled.

I was under the impression that EMF printing was on by default.
