[THIN] Re: How to prevent printers for autocreating

I found a fix for the pop-up message. Navigate to the following registry
key:

HKLM\SOFTWARE\Citrix\IMAPRINTER
Add the following:
Value name: DisableError
Type: DWORD
Value: 1

And no more pop-up message for the user.

A better way is to make a compatibility list in CMC. Just right click on
drivers and choose Compatibility...

Here you have two options, either to make an allow list or a deny list.
This helps me preventing auto-creating printer drivers on my servers.

You can deny the auto-creation of the Driver (if you know the driver
names) in the printers node in the CMC

Problem with this is the message that pops up for the end user.

HI All,

On a W2K SP2 XPe FR2 system, I want to stop all those $@#% fax drivers
from attempting to autocreate. Can anyone tell me how to do this? I do
not want to pre-define all my endusers printers (except for loading
drivers
and creating mapping file) so turning off auto-create may not be an
option.
