I have done 2500 user accounts with VBS/WSH  took 10 minutes to include
group 
membership, TShome dir and TS profile path as well as creating and
sharing the 
Home dir on a file server

with CMD or shell script it took a little over an hour.

the learning paid off as well, I store that info in a SQL database (that
I fill 
with a dump from AD every 2 days) so Just in case something hapens to
our DC's, 
mirrored drives, back up tape and ghost image I have another backup for
account 
info
