Angus
I'll email you a pdf about Ayrshire and Arran hospitals NHS trust using
metaframe.
There is not too much detail in it but at least it is independent.

The trouble with the NHS is that each years budget is totally
distinct from
every other years. Savings in one year don't translate into bigger
budgets
next year. The trouble with TCO is that it's long term.

Still, Finance will love the control-freak aspect of Thin client so
perhaps
we'll have to talk that aspect up.

Does your finance department say ROI doesn't matter? How about TCO?
If we
try to bring those numbers into a finance meeting, the $$$ grubber's
eyes
just glaze over and the IGNORE sign lights up on their foreheads.

Ah but we ARE the desktop side of the house. Our problem is going to
be
        Finance saying "HOW MUCH????!!"

Good luck Angus. I get a lot of grief from the desktop side of the
house.
Their company line is "We moved off mainframes to get away from
that, and
now you want to force us back." What they are really saying is that
they
like their job security :). It really is all in how you run the
numbers.
