I liked Liberum. I am looking for a standalone assets tracking to use = with it. phpInventory looks promising but I don't have it running yet. Liberum doesn't have any inbuilt asset management functionality but = since it's open source we can easily integrate it with our existing Bagpuss database. That's why it appeals to us so much (that and the fact that = it's free!). -----Original Message----- From: Greg Reese [mailto:GReese@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 05 February 2003 17:40 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Helpdesk support software - any ideas? I have been keeping an eye on this thread myself. We are not using any = =3D of it ourselves but probably should. I like all the help desk packages but only TrackIT seems to include =3D asset management. =3D20 Are there any decent asset management packages out there besides =3D TrackIT? Since this thread has started we've decided to migrate away from Blue = =3D Flag helpdesk towards a fairly heavily customised version of Liberum. We've already got an in-house developed system called Bagpuss with a large database of user and asset information and Liberum should integrate with = =3D it nicely. The Thin list just saves me so much work! -----Original Message----- From: Jeff Stockard [mailto:JStockard@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: 05 February 2003 11:46 To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Helpdesk support software - any ideas? We have 150 users in 4 different cities, using Track IT. -----Original Message----- From: Mario Villarreal [mailto:MarioV@xxxxxxxxx]=3D3D20 Sent: Tuesday, February 04, 2003 4:32 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Helpdesk support software - any ideas? How many users are you managing? <posed to all who've responded> I currently just use the task list in outlook, but would love to get a better "tracking" tool. However, with just under 300 users, I'm not sure if it is worth it. ******************************************** This Week's Sponsor: triCerat Inc.
