Have been experiencing printer generation problems for at least the past week, rebooting server has not fixed. Only random users printers are being generated. Nothing has been changed in server config except an upgrade to SP2/FR2 (MF XPs 1.0). I've been getting hundreds of megs of temp files in the printers SPOOL folder of format SPLXXX.TMP. This is not the standard format of files in the folder. These temp files have to be manually deleted and it's the first time I've seen them. Looking through logs, all I can find is a bunch of Event ID 577 and 578 privelage access failures as pasted below. I do not know if this has anything to do with printing or not. Can anyone explain these particular event IDs? I'm also seeing the following: Event ID 5, source wsxica The description for Event ID ( 5 ) in Source ( wsxica ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: . And lastly, I have a bunch of new HP LaserJet 3330 Priner using a PostScript driver on the remote machine. These USED to map fine using the Universal Printer Driver, but now they won't map at all (MF Event ID 1106) This is also a new occurence. What should I manually map these too? They are HP LaserJet 1200 based. ----- Event ID 577: Privileged Service Called: Server: Security Service: - Primary User Name: bford Primary Domain: QUEST.FL.COM Primary Logon ID: (0x0,0xD71D113) Client User Name: - Client Domain: - Client Logon ID: - Privileges: SeIncreaseBasePriorityPrivilege Event ID 578: Privileged object operation: Object Server: Security Object Handle: 4294967295 Process ID: 4976 Primary User Name: MALENA$ Primary Domain: QUEST.FL.COM Primary Logon ID: (0x0,0x3E7) Client User Name: mgrier Client Domain: QUEST.FL.COM Client Logon ID: (0x0,0xD6449DA) Privileges: SeIncreaseBasePriorityPrivilege ----- =================================== This weeks Sponsor: triCerat, Inc ScrewDrivers fxp: Self Configuring Printer Driver with Bandwidth Control Learn more at: http://www.tricerat.com/?page=products&product=sdfxp =================================== For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link. http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm
