The installation finally succeeded after 1.5 hours.
Are you talking about the options:?
- Check for publisher's certificate revocation
- Check for server revocation
- Check for signatures on downloaded programs
The server is not connected to the Internet so it would make sense to
disable this during the install, but you would think it would time out
sooner than 1.5 hours!

Go into internet options, advanced and turn off the options for code signing
verification.... Three of them if I remember correctly
