Hi Svein,

Have a look at USB-IT (www.provisionnetworks.com).

The big advantage of using a virtual USB hub is that potentially you can use
any USB device.

Instead Citrix decide to hook into an Activesync driver, without any support
for Palm/Blackberry, or even checking to see if it was compatibile with the
latest and greatest.

How to create opportunities for your competitors....

regards,

Rick

I have now this case confirmed from Citrix, PS4 will NOT support USB sync with
Microsoft Mobile 5 devices, at least not untill PS5 (Ohio) is released next
year.

So all you guys who uses this feature, make sure your users dont buy new
phones/PDAs with the newest software.
The support document CTX821115 will be updated with this info soon.

Emne: Problem getting the PDA sync to connect to the phone.

I have installed the Active Sync 3.8 on the server, and enabled PDA sync in the
policy. (Win 2k SP4, PS4a - Published Desktop, running on VMware GSX)

The phone I have uses Microsoft Mobile 5 (QTEK 8310), and does not plug and
play the USB driver, even with Active Sync 3.8 installed on the client.

Since the Citrix document states you should upgrade the client to the latest
Active Sync version to get the latest device driver for performance reasons, i
did install Active Sync 4 on the client. When i do this the PDA is recognised,
and the driver is installed locally as "Windows Mobile-based Device".

This is not connected trough to the PS4 server.

Im stuck on this one, can it be that Windows Mobile 5 needs Active Sync 4 to
connect to the phone, and the Citrix Client dont recognise the device?

Is there any other drivers out there i rather should use for this device?

I have no trouble getting it to work locally on any desktops.
