Me too, but I value my personal time more.  I had a similar deal here.  What
I did was talked with my boss and setup a "charge back" so they had to get
their managers approval and pay for my time.  Needless to say, they lost
interest since they didn't want to admit to their boss they didn't know what
they were doing.  By doing that, you're not the bad guy, you're just doing
your job and showing a willingness to help.
