1 - shoot the guy who did this to you

2 - if he's still moving after you shoot him have him reinstall the server
from scratch

Subject: [THIN] HELP... Please

One of the guys who has admin rights on our server but knows nothing about
Citrix (obviously), was trying to work from home over the holidays and
decided to install Visual Studio 6 on our Citrix server.

Several problems arose quickly and we solved most of them, but there are
still some 'haning around'

My config is W2K (sp3) w/MF1.8 SP3

Problems arose with hyperlinks not working from Office apps etc. After
removing VS6, we reinstalled W2k Sp3 and got the links working.

Now, I have two remaining issues.

1. Our intranet home page was designed in FrontPage and uses the FPHover
class for some graphical buttons. Those buttons appear as broken image
links and are not hyperlinked. I'm thinking that this is a problem with the
Java VM, but there doesn't seem to be a way to reload the VM except thru
Windows Update which doesn't see a problem.

2. There also appears to be a problem with MDAC/Jet objects. I've
installed the MDAC 2.7 and Jet 4.0, but still have problems. Today, I tried
to install an app that needs MDAC 2.6. On my other Citrix box (essentially
a clone), it installed without issue and flew by the MDAC install (I'm
assuming it detected that it already have MDAC 2.6 or higher), but on this
box, it tried to install MDAC 2.6 and failed.

Any ideas? I know this is all kind of vague. I'm not sure the two issues
are totally unrelated, so any help on either one of them may solve both of
them.

Thanks,
