You rock! That worked like the veritable charm. That's pretty much what I figured; if I could get the right installer program, everything would drop into place. I don't know what the developers were passing off to me for an install program, but it must have been XP or something! Thanks again for your help. rob -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Moock, Jay Sent: Thursday, July 27, 2006 12:48 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Flash 9 install Sign up for a license to distribute the flash player. http://www.adobe.com/licensing/distribution/ And you'll get an ID to download the player from here: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?k=824596cb%2De7aa%2Dc 415% 2D5b435bccd2489e96&loc=en%5Fus -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Rob Slayden Sent: Thursday, July 27, 2006 3:38 PM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Flash 9 install Joe, I have the executable. It does not install on a Server 2003 server or Citrix server. It flashes the gas gauge and appears to install, but if you look in the Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash folder, there is only a single file there: NPSWF32.DLL and when I click on the internal Flash test site, it indicates Flash is not installed. So far I have tested this on a Windows Server 2003 (fresh build - no updates), Server 2003 - R2, and Server 2003 (updates by no SP1). This fails across the board, but works fine on an XP desktop. Unless there is another install program available other than the "ActiveX_install_flash_player.exe," the only way I see to possibly accomplish this is through the Adobe website install. That is currently not an option for me as the website is blocked. I am going to try to get it opened up for access and test that.
