I'll check it out.

I was thumbing through your book and didn't see anything in the index about
associations. Did I miss it?

Is kix the only way to get this across?

Thanks

Here's the kix script that I use to change file type associations.

http://www.kixtart.org/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Cat=3D&Number=3D83156&page=
=3D35
&view=3Dcollapsed&sb=3D3&o=3Dall&fpart=3D1

Hopefully this will come through without those =3D3D things being added.

If not, the title of the article is " Associate() - create a file / command
association - Local or remote"

Am I missing something simple here?
=20
My default user did not have the correct xls file type associated. While my
users can pick open with excel, and save it... =20 I'd like to save them
that step and do it for them.=20 =20 Any thoughts? =20 =20
