Hector,

Try looking into "robocopy" from the resource kit.

Thanks for the info. So, I cannot configure file replication for a folder
and schedule it for say 12:00 AM?
That would be my worst case scenario. How do I configure replication of a
folder (no DFS) ?

Yes, DFS would certainly not be a good idea in this instance.=20

It sounds like what you need would be a process that copies the user
profile on user log off to both servers.=20

You might look into a log off script that could do this for you, however
this would add to the amount of time a user has to wait for the log off.

Theatrically, I would probably go after it with a login script that
creates a file in the user profile or on their homeshare on login, which
designates their %loginserver%.=20

On log off, the log off script would read this variable and copy the
profile to the server that was not their %loginserver% as your failsafe.

Would take a bit of work to setup, but with Kix I know it wouldn't take
too long.

I am planning to replicate profiles (2 GB)
I've read several documents that advise to use DFS for read-only data.

What I want is to have the profiles stored on 2 Domain Controllers and
then
use a Terminal Services Profile:
%logonserver%\profiles\%username%

This seems to work, but I need to make sure that profile information is
updated as required. I am not sure if replication will do this job
since
assume that 1 server will be the export server and another the import
server.
Anyone using this kind of setup?

At the worst case, I can continue to use 1 DC for profiles and configure
File replication to the other DC once at night.
This will at least give me something.

Depends on how much that data is accessed and changed . . but have you
looked at DFS?

Is it possible to configure File Replication of a directory between 2
Win2K
Domain Controllers?
I've checked TechNet and I found some informaiton about the SYSVOL
share,
but no luck finding a procedure for=3D20
replicating other directories.
Any help is appreciated.
