We use and like them. Much easier if your servers move, no reason to update multiple entries. Just change your DNS and everything runs great. As long as DNS is reliable this is a better way to go in my opinion. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bill.Ramby@xxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, August 26, 2002 10:24 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] FQDN's in ICA instead of IP's I have a client that wants to use FQDN's in hi ICA file rather than the standard IP addresses. The only real argument I have against it is that if his DNS ever goes awry, he won't be able to connect. Any other reasons FQDN's aren't a good idea in an ICA file? =================================== This weeks Sponsor: ThinPrint - High resolution, DRIVER FREE PRINTING with no loss of quality in color. - Removes print spooling and rendering tasks from your terminal server. http://www.thinprint.com =================================== For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link. http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm =================================== This weeks Sponsor: ThinPrint - High resolution, DRIVER FREE PRINTING with no loss of quality in color. - Removes print spooling and rendering tasks from your terminal server. http://www.thinprint.com =================================== For Archives, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link. http://thethin.net/citrixlist.cfm
