Ron,

We are using the "use universal driver only if native driver is =
unavailable"
setting.

Thanks,

Set the printer properties to use the UPD only when no native driver is
available. It is probably set to use BOTH native and UPD right now. =
Right
click the printers node in the CMC and goto properties, you'll find it.

Subject: [THIN] Duplicate printers using UPD

Wondering if anyone has run into this issue before. Our farm is Win2000 =
/
MFXPe with FR2.
=20

The client is using an NT 4.0 workstation with an hp LaserJet 1300 PCL5e
driver, and there is only one printer setup on the workstation. We have
this driver mapped to the HP LaserJet 4si on the Citrix server. Every =
time
the user logs in, she gets two printers in her session. One printer =
uses
the re-mapping properly and it works. The second printer uses the UPD =
and
it prints 'garbage'. The UPD printer always becomes her default =
printer.
It does not matter which server she connects to. I logged in from her
workstation with my id and had the exact same symptom.

=20

She also mentioned that this issue occurs with other workstations at the
Store with different printers - Lexmark Optra R. I viewed a few more
servers and noticed the Lexmark E320 is intermittently using the UPD. =
We
have the Lexmark E320 physically installed on all servers.

Any ideas or suggestions?

=20

Thanks,=20
