Well. Nfuse 1.8 takes a lot of my bite out with their new setup.

They broke out a bunch of the scripts in HTML into separate files so
that they are much easier to reconfigure and look at in an editor. I am
still going setup the stuff for Nfuse 1.71 but man 1.8 has come a long
way from the original 1.0.47

Cameron,
In about a week or so I will be looking for some people to test these
stripped out pages. The first ones will be VERY BASIC, then as I work on
them some I hope to make it slick and pretty easy to configure. Let me
know if you want in to try it out. It will most likely be simple and
look like so:

Then you can build stuff around it incorporating it into an ASP page or
a Frames HTML Page

I know a lot of us work in large environments but I also know there is a
HUGE community of small shops that don't have a web team or even a web
guy. This is more for them than for the rest of you gurus. :-)=3D20

I am NOT fortunate enough to have a web development department. Any
ideas
where I can start doing my own Nfuse customization?

Same here, I just gave them the NFUSE pages and they gave me back a
fully
customized version the next day stripping out all the Citrix and NFUSE
pics
and putting our stuff in. =3D20

i was amazed @ how quickly one of the guys stripped nfuse apart and then
=3D3D
put it back together.

Maybe then I don't have to walk through the internet access rooms at
iforum
and see the same NFuse pages on almost everyone's screens :-)

Hmmmmm

=3D3D20

I'm not an HTML guru nor do I really know ASP and certainly not much VBS
but

I was able to spend about 10 minutes looking through the NFuse pages and
was

able to locate enough to be able to rearrange the login and the logged
in

page to my likes.

=3D3D20

For people who know a little HTML, perhaps something as simple as in
line

commenting to point out what every section does and the consequences of

altering it, would be beneficial to them, and a more WYSIWYG editor
would

better for those w/o the HTML knowledge or the time/care to open up
Notepad

and hack away.

=3D3D20

I know if given the choice time wise, I rather do it the harder way than
the

WYSIWYG way. Helps me understand better.

After meeting all of you fine people at iForum... Ok you "fine" people

may go tooooo far.

Anyway it got me going again on doing some more stuff in the community.

I am thinking of creating a bunch of nfuse pages based on Nfuse 1.7 and

soon to be Nfuse 1.8 and giving them out in an easy to edit format.

=3D3D20

These would be targeted at admins that don't know how (or don't want to

take the time to) edit the ASP and VBS code in the Nfuse pages to get a

more custom NFuse page.

=3D3D20

I am wondering what you would be looking for in these pages?

Would simple frames pages that you could edit content in the frames

work?

What would someone want in a simple page that they could make look more

like their own?
