Guys, I was in a planning meeting with a client yesterday, and they advised me that one of the objectives with a Citrix project they are implementing is that they are wanting to use eDirectory/Zen to push out applications via secure Gateway to the users desktop. Once the application is installed the end user will only need to run specific applications from the citrix farm and the Zen deployed applications will be running locally. These remote users will be any where around the world. They specifically requested that they don't want to use portal technology or a web interface but use CSG as a generic VPN method of connecting up and deplying apps through it and using the PN Agent for running the remaining thin client apps. They mentioned that this has been done in the past by someone else. Ive never heard of deploying packaged apps though CSG, and cant see how it can be possible. Have I missed something here? Im wondering if they have got their wires crossed and confusing CSG with a full VPN client with Zen packages deployed through this.
