The GP setting doesn't seem to work for redirected folders, I have tried
setting it and it does nothing. It must work only for roaming folders.

I'll admit I do not knowing the layout of the firefox folder under
AppData, but couldn't you use a policy setting to exclude the cache from
the profile?

Having read all the comments there, it sounds as if it should be easy to
fix, but the code isnt reused enough to be simple?!
