That depends on your licensing model. The per processor license is expensive and if you are a large organization with many SQL servers then it get really, really expensive. Alternatively, you can buy SQL Cals. Francios, If you buy SQL Cals, you will need a license for every user or device that logs into Citrix. MS Licensing is very specific about this. You pay the same if the client is connecting directly or indirectly (proxied by the application) to a backend SQL Server. So if you have 100 thin clients and 5 Citrix servers, that's 100 SQL Device Cals. Or 100 devices (mix of PC, Thin clients, PDAs, etc) and 70 users total. That would be 70 SQL User Cals. sql is licensed per processor on the server installed so you shouldn't have to worry about that. gabriel.j.byrne AIB Global Treasury IT Services IT Services 01-6418000 This document is strictly confidential and is intended for use by the addressee unless otherwise indicated.
