There are ways to protect your MS Access db all the same however, in the event that you can't yet move to a SQL backend. Simple things like having a nightly process to backup your datastore to another location: *dsmaint backup \\server\sharename\folder* If you have an Access DB you'll want to also compact it every so often: *dsmaint compactdb /DS* This post from the citrix support forums also covers this question, and has a solution which might be useful to you. http://support.citrix.com/forums/thread.jspa?forumID=1&threadID=44779&tstart=0 By default in having your Datastore offline, your citrix servers should have been able to live off of their Local host cache for at least 48 hours. IE - they should have been able to continue to allow logins during your datastore outage. That is unless the server which went offline serves some other important function in your infrastructure, I don't believe that the server in question also being the preferred ZDC should have been a show stopper either...do you not have other zone collectors defined? MS access within smaller farms can work a treat, but certainly you get better performance out of having your datastore hosted on an actual DB server of some nature, and as Rick points out . . it's easy to move it.
