Well, I'll be... you guys are geniuses. I found the dll file on a client's machine. I copied the entire directory of dll files that was in his WINNT\CRYSTAL to the servers \WINNT\SYSTEM32 and it works. Holy crap this is amazing. You should know what I mean although I have no better way of explaining it. Anyway, I ran Filemon and it can't find two DLL files in my sys32 dir. u2l*.dll and u25*.dll. I did a search on the server that is hosting the accounting software and it doesn't have those DLLs. Any ideas? Works great. -----Original Message----- From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Dirk Blose Sent: Tuesday, December 21, 2004 10:03 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Crystal Reports on Citrix I have several applications that use Crystal, as well and crystal itself published. I have found that most of our issues were resolved by copying the Crystal DLLs into the SSTEM32 directory. Some of our apps expect them to be there and won't find them in the the normal Crystal folder which is in the path. You might try using Filemon when launching the application and printing the problem reports to see if the app is looking for any crystal files and not finding them. Anyway, about 2 or 3 years ago my client attempted to move to a completely thin environment only to be stopped by two applications. One application over the last few years is now working through Citrix, although not perfect. The other application's name is ForeFront (www.dexterchaney.com) and is the accounting software. This application works well but the only problem is printing Crystal Reports through Citrix, it works on some reports but not others. I attempted to fix this for a long time but could never figure out why some reports worked yet others didn't. The people that make the program will not assist at all and say that their product is not compatiable with Citrix or TS. My question is this, I ran this test on Windows 2000 running Citrix MF 1.8. Windows 2003 is out and Citrix <whatever> is out now. Has the printing improved? I know there is a Universal Printer Driver, but does anyone push Citrix on Crystal Reports? Has anyone experienced Crystal Report type problems on MF 1.8 that were fixed in later versions of Citrix? If I can get this program to run on Citrix I can save a ton of money and make managing this network a hole heck of a lot easier.
