Theory A: 25,000 Theory B: 250,000 (if you aren't going to do anything about a red alert, why have it?) tim _____ From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of HBooGz Sent: Tuesday, June 13, 2006 9:37 AM To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [THIN] Re: Context Switching Hey Guys -- Thanks for the help on this. The reason i bring this up is i am running Metaframe XPe FR3 and i have configured Resource manager to alert me when certain thresholds are reached. I left the default setting on Context switching and every so often i receive a ton of messages indicating the alert status has moved from green to yellow and green to red. I suppose i'd like to know what other Citrix admins have this setting set to ? I'm currently running a Poweredge 2500 Dual PIII 1.4 with 2GB of RAM RAID 1 holding the OS and RAID 5 holding the profiles and current Datastore. As to what's high - well that can be subjective. A lot of the documents that have been around for a while have some rather low and outdated figures for this. As to your last question, it very much depends on what it is that's causing it. It could be poorly written, or badly used apps or drivers. It could be symptomatic of load, it could be due to insufficient resources.
