The thing that got me once was when I was having a play around with the load
balancers, this is where the Citrix client first talks to to find out which
citrix server to go to. This server MUST be open, the client then gets
redirected.

So I would find out what the load balancer is for that farm / zone and make
sure that you are allowed to talk TCP to it on 1494 and 2598.

It may have been that someone else has changed a load balancer due to
hardware failure or whatever other reason people have for touching these
settings, and that's why you can't connect.
