You should set up in DNS to resolve to your Data Collector and perhaps and
entry for your backup Data Collector. This way clients will resolve through
DNS instead of broadcasting
for ICA services.

pinging ica does not resolve.
I then added an alias to the DS server called ICA, but that dies not
solve it.

I guess what I am trying to ask is:
Do I need to specify the server location address or should it be able to
auto-resolve it?

I haven't checked recently, but the ICA client looks for an DNS
entry called ICA. If you set us this entry, this may solve it.

        No, I don't.
Do I need to have one?

Might you have an entry for "ICA" in DNS by any chance?

Hi all, we had Citrix farm a year ago and have since
replaced it with a new farm (new name). I uninstalled MetaFrame from
all the servers, but the clients keep trying to connect to the old farm
by default. I assume this is being done by broadcast.
The only way I can get the clients to go to the new farm
is by specifying a Server location in PN.
Is there a way I can stop the old farm from being
broadcast to the clients?

                Thanks,
