try using the latest version of smartstart, 5.3 is very old and won't have the
latest drives 2003 if at all. I believe 8.0 is the latest (but I might be
wrong).

I am attempting to install server 2003 on a Dual 500 Compaq DL-380. However
it will not recognize that the machine is dual processor. I am using
SmartStart 5.3 but no luck. When I run the Windows install, I get asked
which partition to use and then everything goes automatically. Any ideas
about how to get windows to see the second processor?
