[THIN] Re: Compaq Smart Array

The problem is not so much how to build the bootdisks (have another
server which I can boot fine), but rather that I cannot obtain the ASPI
drivers to boot off in the first instance.

That's funny because I ghost my DL580s with 5300's all the time. In
fact,
if you look at Compaq's Smartstart Scripting Toolkit, they tell you how
to
build the DOS disk. The Scripting Toolkit is DOS-based (for the most
part).

Hi All,

Slightly off topic. I want to ghost our Citrix servers in case of
disaster recovery. We're using a Compaq Proliant DL580, using a Compaq
Smart Array 5300 for RAID. I need to build a DOS bootdisk, but Compaq
tell me that the 5300 doesn't support DOS and that there are no ASPI
drivers for it. Surely that can't true?? Anyone have any ideas where I
can get the DOS drivers for this array?

Thanks,

Lee Prior
