[THIN] Re: Cloning W2KPro for TS access via TSAC - license error

Could this be an issue with the licensing server not releasing the license? I
just had an issue where I had to apply a hotfix to my TS license server. It
was not releasing expired licenses. For a Win2K SP3 machine the hotfix is
KB813508 and for Win2K SP4 it is KB825027.

If you stop and start the TS license service do you see the same problem? If
not, then the above may be the solution to your problem.

I've just cleared the event viewer, tried to connect, got the error about
"error connecting to terminal server: 192.168.1.22", and looked again at the
event viewer.

No events were logged on the Ghosted client at all I'm afraid.

Originally I was trying when I brought the cloned PC up for the first time,
before I realised that was pretty dim and you're supposed to Sysprep it *then*
make the Ghost image! Doh.

So my current image was made just after sysprepping and then removing the key.
(i.e.. sysprep, reboot, remove key, shut down, make image).

Thanks again,
Scott.

What's keeping you from getting more from your terminal servers? Did you know,
in most cases, CPU Utilization IS NOT the single biggest constraint to scaling
up?! Get this free white paper to understand the real constraints & how to
overcome them. SAVE MONEY by scaling-up rather than buying more servers.
