Interesting point you raise Angela. But I always thought you could control the drive letter of the first drive mapping so that you know what the clients C drive will be. I guess this is another reason why remapped server drives makes it less confusing for the users. Then C will always be C. Cheers. I may disable client drive mappings and hard code it in a logon script. At least this way users know its always going to be a std drive letter. Different users get many different network drive mappings so theirs no guarantee c: drive is going to be v: >From: cstalhood@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >Reply-To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: [THIN] Re: Client drive mapping >Date: Fri, 14 Jul 2006 12:01:03 +0000 > >The client drive letters start at V: and go backwards by default. >Check out the >InitialClientDrive registry key: >http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX238200[2] >-----Original Message----- >From: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On >Behalf Of >Angela Smith >Sent: Friday, July 14, 2006 6:48 AM >To: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >Subject: [THIN] Client drive mapping >Hi again >We have enabled client drive mapping for our users. Is there a easy >way to >ensure the same drive letters are mapped for all users? >Eg M: drive is mapped to the client c: drive >  ÂN: drive is mapped to the client d: drive >From what Ive seen the letter used can vary from one user to another >How can i ensure the same letter is used? Do I simply put it in the >logon >script? If so won't I get duplicate entries ie the hardcoded mapping >+ >whatever citrix decides to map? I only want 1 mapping for the client >drives. >Any ideas? >Thanks >_________________________________________________________________ >Search for local singles online @ Lavalife >http://a.ninemsn.com.au/b.aspx?URL=http%3A%2F%2Flavalife9%2Eninemsn%2Ecom%2Eau%2Fclickthru%2Fclickthru%2Eact%3Fid%3Dninemsn%26context%3Dan99%26locale%3Den%5FAU%26a%3D23060&_t=751140432&_r=endtext_july&_m=EXT[3] >************************************************ >For Archives, RSS, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or >set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: >//www.freelists.org/list/thin[4] >************************************************ > >Links: >------ >[2] http://support.citrix.com/article/CTX238200 >[3] >http://a.ninemsn.com.au/b.aspx?URL=http%3A%2F%2Flavalife9%2Eninemsn%2Ecom%2Eau%2Fclickthru%2Fclickthru%2Eact%3Fid%3Dninemsn%26context%3Dan99%26locale%3Den%5FAU%26a%3D23060&_t=751140432&_r=endtext_july&_m=EXT >[4] //www.freelists.org/list/thin _________________________________________________________________ New year, new job â there's more than 100,00 jobs at SEEK http://a.ninemsn.com.au/b.aspx?URL=http%3A%2F%2Fninemsn%2Eseek%2Ecom%2Eau&_t=752315885&_r=Jan05_tagline&_m=EXT ************************************************ For Archives, RSS, to Unsubscribe, Subscribe or set Digest or Vacation mode use the below link: //www.freelists.org/list/thin ************************************************
