We've used client drive mappings from day 1, but I'm starting to see them as more of a migration tool than a good long term idea. It's nice to allow users to shift documents and similar onto the network when they first migrate to thin client but once that's done it's far nicer to stop them having easy access to their local drives. Everything goes onto the network where it's easy to backup and available from anywhere. I still like to have the option of mapping to \\client\c$ but I now tend not to map it to a drive letter once users have migrated. -----Original Message----- From: Seitz, Linden [mailto:L.Seitz@xxxxxxx] Sent: 31 January 2003 11:43 To: Thin@Freelists. What are the list's opinions (pro's and con's) involving client drive mappings? *************************************************************************** This Week's Sponsor: New Wyse(R) Expedian(TM)software maximizes your server capacity--cost-effectively.
