we had the exact same thing - the freezing was occuring for everyone on the
server. we tracked it down to background grammar checking in Word. How
many copies of word do you have running on a server, on average?
It took us about 3 months to figure it out.

Hi everyone,
This is a continuation from my question yesterday. I talked about user
sessions freezing for a few seconds to up to a minute when in Office apps.
Well, now it's happening in anything desktop related. Any clues what could
be causing this? The only thing that has changed in the last few weeks is
that I upgraded my Metaframe 1.8 servers to SP4 of Metaframe. Any guidance
would be much appreciated. These boxes are all on Windows 2000 SP4.
