but the user skane is logged on when others try to print to that printer? That's what you are trying to accomplisch if I understand your mail correctly... when the user logs on the printer is there, and he "skane" can print, when he logs of the printer stays their. when he logs back on he can print again, can you verify this for me....??? or is this not what you try to achieve? grz rob -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:thin-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] Namens Joey Proulx Verzonden: woensdag 8 december 2004 20:02 Aan: thin@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Onderwerp: [THIN] Re: Citrix printing only works first time This does not help. The printer remains on the server, yes, and the documents are lined up in its queue, but they hang there. Just says the document name (MUNIS skane ->\\citrix\skaneprint). MUNIS is the financial app I'm trying to print from, and skane is the user. There are no entries in the event viewer at all. I have to restart the spooler to delete this job, and printing never works again. To remind you, this all worked fine 10 minutes ago when I initially logged on and setup the shared printer. I then logged off, logged back on, and now I'm stuck again. Thank you for your help. Joey At 02:35 PM 12/6/2004, you wrote: That is correct. We use it as a front end to run a financial package off another server. There is only one Citrix server here. I'm now working to enable remote printing to the schools that use Citrix to connect to the financial app. The way the app is, you must install each printer within the application, then point to its location. The way I figured I would do this is have Citrix autocreate the client printers, share them, then point the app to //citrix/clientprintername. I setup a test client here and it worked the first time. Then I logged the user off, logged back on, and attemped to print. This did not work. The problem only occurs once I've logged off and back on again. The shared autocreated printer remains on the Citrix server, but even if I do a rightclick > properties > print test page from the server end, it won't print. What is changing between sessions, and how can I enable it to remain the same? I can rule out driver issues just because it worked the first time I set it up.
