Do you mean that the client is set to auto start the published desktop? If
so we have the same problem. Our workaround is to either not have the
published desktop auto start, or to turn off the terminal when it is not in
use. The problems are some sort of memory leak that I haven't seen
addressed by Citrix or Microsoft. If you go in to the Citrix Management
console and click on one of the servers that users would connect to, then
click on the sessions tab. You should see your connected ICA sessions with
users then your idle ICA sessions and then you will also see sessions where
there are clients but no users. These are the ones that are causing the
problems. Unfortunately there isn't a way I know of to manage these
sessions through Citrix because they aren't even sessions yet. Let me know
if that makes sense or if you have any questions.

Our problem is this: our thin clients boot up and the auto-login process
begins an brings up the winlogon dialog box for a published desktop. If no
one logs in or shuts the unit down in 4-5 minutes then it disconnects and
goes through the auto-login process again. (We have them set to
automatically re-connect a disconnected session). This however seems to be
causing problems. Does anyone know how or even where to set it so that once
the client boots up and the auto-login process is complete it stays at the
winlogon screen until someone logs in or the unit is shut down. The auto
login is necessary because we are in a school environment and we need to
make things as easy as possible.
