Has any one come across a problem with their Citrix servers intermittently refusing connections? I've seen this issue occur 4 times in the past 2 years, including today. We're running a Dell PowerEdge Dual 2.6ghz Xeon w/3GB memory, Citrix Metaframe XP FR2 on W2KTS. Here's the scenario: User's are connecting fine all morning. Out of nowhere our help desk begins receiving reports that users can't connect to Citrix with the following client error "Citrix Remote Access Error "Cannot connect to the Citrix MetaFrame server. The Citrix Metaframe server is not available, please try again later". When I check the CMC approximately 60 are still logged in and working properly. I check the event logs and nothing out of the ordinary. Resources look good in task manager and the registry size is at 120mb (note: pagepooled memory fix is in place). Both swap files show normal utilization. I can still RDP into the box from the LAN. If any user logs out of the session, they can't log back in again. Shortly after the first outage reports, logged in users begin to indiscriminately get dropped. I notified the remaining users to log out so I could reboot the server. After reboot, the server works fine. Thoughts?
